סול-ג'ל קיבלה הודעת קיבול ממשרד הפטנטים וסימני המסחר של ארצות הברית (USPTO) על פטנט שכולל את TWIN, משחה מקומית לשימוש פעם ביום שמכילה שילוב במינון קבוע של בנזואיל פרוקסיד כמוס וטרטינואין כמוס באמצעות פלטפורמת המיקרו כימוס הקניינית של סול-ג'ל. קיבול הפטנט כולל את השימוש בשילוב של BPO/ טרטינואין ב-3%/0.1% בהתאמה, לטיפול באקנה וולגריס. השיטה כוללת את היציבות והשחרור של השילוב, והיעילות הסינרגיסטית שלהם ופרופיל הבטיחות המשופר. הפטנט החדש שהוענק יאריך את ההגנה עד יולי 2038 והחברה מאמינה שזה ימנע את ההשקה של כל גרסה גנרית AB-rated של TWIN במשך חיי הפטנט.
